LiveLingo is a Chrome extension that provides real-time translated subtitles for video content. "We", "us", and "our" refers to the LiveLingo team. Contact us at privacy@getlivelingo.com.
Your email address — only if you create a free account. Used to log you in and send product updates you've opted into. Never sold or shared with advertisers.
Usage data — if you have an account, we track how many minutes of subtitles you've used today to manage your daily limit. This resets every midnight.
What we do NOT collect:
When LiveLingo is running, audio from your browser tab is sent in real time to a speech-to-text service to generate subtitle text. This audio is processed instantly and is never stored, recorded, or retained by us or our service providers after processing. We have no record of what is said in any video you watch.
To use LiveLingo you set up a free personal access key that connects to the speech recognition service. This key is stored only on your device in your browser's local storage. We never transmit, see, or store your personal access key on our servers.
LiveLingo uses third-party services to operate. These services process data only to the extent necessary to provide the features they power:
We have data processing agreements in place with all service providers we use.
You can request a copy of your data, ask us to delete your account and all associated data, or unsubscribe from emails at any time by emailing privacy@getlivelingo.com.
LiveLingo is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
We may update this policy occasionally. If we make significant changes we will notify account holders by email.
